Scanning the posts, I'm looking for codes for volume control.

The best thing you could do to control a Bose system is to rig it to trigger a detonator and blow that piece of crap to bits. Bose products are the most over-rated, over-hyped products on the market and are absolutely horrible at accurate sound reproduction. Their greatest claim to fame is getting big sound out of small boxes through electronic gimmickry. They just aren't as concerned about how it actually relates to how things sound in real life.

The TiVo remote is a learning remote. Use the Bose remote to teach the volume commands to the TiVo remote.
