The Office 05/02/13 "Livin the Dream"

Wow, if the remaining episodes are as good as thing one I might end up missing the show after all. Hour went fast. I hope the rest are an hour.

Didn't think I would ever by fine with Dwight being regional manager, but they made it a pretty palatable event.

Didn't think I would enjoy listening to Andy playing a goodbye song, but it was pretty touching and not a hint of acapella.

No more Jim & Pam strife. Back to the perfect couple, and Jim sacrificing his dream com true while Pam conveniently overhears him giving it up for her.

Liked like the little homage to Michael Scott with the leg up on the desk.

Enjoyed the episode. Loved Dwight kicking the kid out of Jim's desk.

Will Angela and Dwight get back together?

Andy trying to get fired was pretty funny. Especially the way he tried to grope Toby.

I don't get why Angela is in such dire straits. She has the same job that she had before (and while) she was married, and she was doing just fine on that income, so why can't she maintain a standard of living now? If anything, she should have extra cash on hand from the period of time when she was married and thus had fewer personal expenditures.

Not to mention whatever money/alimony she should have gotten from the divorce.

Very nice episode. Not too over the top and scattered. Looks like they will be wrapping this show up fairly nicely.

I'm betting Angela and Dwight get back together for good (married?) and everyone else will continue on with their lives just fine.

I would have preferred if David Wallace just fired Andy at the beginning.

I was dreading an hour long episode, but this one was solid. Funny stuff throughout...Andy trying to get fired at the end was good.

finale guesses...

Spoiler:
it looks like the finale is a wedding so dwigt and angela is the logical guess. episode guide also shows many former employees returning for the nuptuals, but we have heard that michael scott will not be one of them

I was thinking it would be amusing if they get to Oscar's house and find all her cats there - he rescued them.

I personally think...

Spoiler:
it's a mistake not to bring back Steve. I understand his point and all, but I still think the finale would be better with him.

Loved that Andy actually did take a dump on David's car.

No, this way was great! You could see the dollar signs spinning in Wallace's eyes: "he quits, we don't pay unemployment. Cha-ching!"

That's why he was so careful to clarify that Andy quit he wasn't fired.

If he didn't want to do it though, they can't make him. I think that if he were willing to do it that they would have found space for him.

Yes, we've come a long way since All In The Family shocked audiences with the sound of a toilet flushing, haven't we?

I think it's a function of her having to spend much of her paycheck on daycare as well as any alimony/child support isn't finalized or coming in yet. It certainly brings an interesting dynamic to her character.

I dont think the strife is over just yet. Am I the only one irritated with Pam? IMO, she could probably suck it up for another 3 months. This is the man's life dream come true and he has to pass because she won't deal with the kids by herself for a few more months?

I hope I'm right when I say I don't think she will make him pass on the opportunity. He is not the only one that stand to benefit from the success of the company. Pam is smart enough to realize this and I think deep down she wants to see him succeed.

I think that is how they are setting it up-Pam had a look on her face like "Wow, he is willing to give that up..I should be willing to make the sacrifice for him,"
Especially if this is going to get $$ for the family!

Why are you irritated with Pam? She hasn't had the opportunity to comment.

That's something they do for blind people. You probably turn it off with the SAP button in your remote.

This was the best episode of this season. I actually laughed a few times and the characters didn't seem so dumb as they had been. Angela being poor was still stupid, but this is just wrapping that up, so can't really fault this episode for that.

I liked how Angela finally admitted to being in love with Dwight. I really couldn't believe they showed Andy dropping a deuce on the car, it was enough of just him talking about doing it

Which reminds me, I don't remember seeing Meredith in this episode. Did I just not notice her, or was she missing?

Pam only wanted a time frame...how long is this thing going to take? With no end in sight she was getting bothered.

They made it a point to say this final leg would take only 3 months, so I don't think it will be a big issue.

Do you mean severance? Because companies don't pay unemployment, as far as I know.

I'm shocked at the love given for the episode. I thought for sure I would come here and find that people hated it as much as I did. The whole Andy thing was terrible, made worse by it being an hour instead of half an hour. It was an Andy "dump" all the way, IMO.
