IR signals are not reliable as they can be easily interfered. Move devices or instruments which may cause the interference. TiVo itself can cause the interference to IR signals. Check whether your IR blaster is working properly. Place a camera in front of the IR blaster and try to change the channels and record the video. Check the video and see if the IR blaster is working properly. If it doesn’t work try to repair with a tech. you can also create your own IR blaster too. Search in wikihow website “How to make an IR blaster”.
Thanks for your help. I have used the IR blasters with 2 prior cable boxes and worked great. Now The cable company just came out with this new box Motorola VIP2202 and seems that it does not like to work with it. I go through the set up on Tivo using the Motorola setting. Some times it will change the channel but not to the one it wants to. As I watch it try it misses a number or 2 at times.
