Mildly interesting. The auctions are 100% fake or else there are only 3 companies that ever attend. Not SP worthy.
There are many other restoration shows that are much, much better.
If you want to stay in Texas, Fast N' Loud is a good one that I'm really enjoying. http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/fast-n-loud/about-show.html
It's British but also good: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheeler_Dealers
Ed, the mechanic on the show is about the best I've ever seen.
Graveyard Carz http://blogs.discovery.com/velocity/graveyard-carz/
This one is hard to describe. It's car restoration (MOPAR only) meets Jersey Shore. The owner is an idiot savant when it comes to restoration but is also unhinged when it comes to personal interactions. In one episode I watched, he spent 5 minutes describing the differences between an original equipment tiny nut and screw to an aftermarket one. He has absolutely encyclopedic knowledge of every part on every MOPAR muscle car ever made. However, the show is usually only 50% restoration work and the rest is the personality conflicts in the garage. Still, it's fascinating. http://vimeo.com/8595915
Chasing Classic Cars http://velocity.discovery.com/videos...-classic-cars/
Deals with finding and restoring true classic cars. Lots of Ferraris, Duesenbergs, Shelbys, etc.
Desert Car Kings http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/desert-car-kings/
I don't think it's currently airing but this is a very good one.
