Big Brother 14 8/2/2012, or 'The Bull$#!T Episode'

What crap was that?

This whole week meant nothing.

I am debating dropping the show for the rest of the season.

I don't buy America voted yes.

I feel like Big Brother just makes up rules as they go along. Coaches if you don't reenter we will bring back past house guests in some way. I wonder what Frank did to become this year's Jeff.

It doesn't surprise me. I just wish they would explain the full rules before votes. But the show has always done this: have a vote and then explain how it works afterwards. I'll still watch, it's still entertaining!

The coaching aspect was boring to me. I'm glad that part is over. Now let's get Mike Booger off!

I don't mind it, it was really the only fair way to do it. I do think we could have done it much sooner in the ep.

I prefer a pure game, but this is not unexpected. You had to suspect from the beginning that the coaches would enter.

Disagree on the "fair" thing. Coaches got a free pass for 3-4 weeks (whatever its been).

I hope the rest of the house bands together and picks them off 1-2-3-4

If the coaches hadn't become players, some of the evicted would have returned. (I'm betting all but Willy), so either way everyone gets reset.

I don't like people returning either. You were voted out ... you should stay out.

There is a ton of things they can do for a twist. I don't know why returning players or letting evicted players come back has to be there each year.

Kara and JoJo would have returned. Jodi isn't in sequester and Willie isn't available. The original plan was likely for three to return if the vote failed.

I'm surprised Boogie didn't want to come in as a player. I wonder why? Did he think he had a better chance at 100k than at 500k?

I'm sure he thinks he'll be targetted by almost all the others. A fair assumption.

Boogie was about to be blindsided by a Frank eviction, so he thought he had 3 players in the game, and a good shot at winning the 100k. Truth is he was in trouble.

I'm surprised Britney wanted to play. Of course Jani and Dan want another shot at glory: Jani is tired of herding cats and Dan was playing with one.

Can you be skinny and still have man-boobs?

I'd rather have 1 Kara than 4 coaches in the house.

I didn't like that it was an 'all or nothing' decision. I don't like Boogie, but if he chooses to not come back in as a player he shouldn't have too.

That was the only good thing about this was seeing Boogie not get something he wanted.

Could they have made it more blatant with the all or nothing aspect? That made it 100% that it would happen...you know at least one of them would accept the offer.

I don't like it either. Not enough to stop watching but it is unfair even if they bring back evitees.

I was hoping it would have been a deal to where if one coach didn't want to come back then none would. That would have possibly thrown a different twist on things.

I like how Wil has Janelle completely figured out. He knew she was fake-crying and just trying to get on his good side.

"Pure game"? Really? This show has been about surprises and changes pretty much since the beginning. POV was a change. Then they made it "golden" so you could use it on yourself. Just a few more highlights from the Wikipedia page: X-Factor, DNA, Summer of Secrets, Coup d'État, America's Player, Big Brother Saboteur, ...

That's because he's a drama queen too...

OK, I admit I haven't been following BB at all this year, but I'm trying to understand what just happened here. Wikipedia says this:
Quote:
In week two of season 14, the viewers had the option to vote online or cell phone if the 4 returning houseguests be given the option to continue playing the game as coaches as within the first 2 weeks 4 people have been evicted with one being expelled from the game. On the 3rd live eviction the results were announced and the coaches were given an option to return to the game. They would each go to the diary room one by one and inside the diary room there was a reset button and if one of the four coaches pressed the reset button all four coaches would enter the game as regular players and the eviction for that week would be cancelled. Essentially starting the game from scratch. If they chose not to press the button the game would resume and a previous evicted houseguest would return into the game the next week.
I'm reading the words, but I confess I have no idea what they mean. What exactly happened? All I knew was that 4 previous players were living in the house, coaching other players while being immune themselves. What's the situation now? Is this some kind of planned twist, or an emergency game repair?

Who the hell knows? But from what I gather on this forum it was a very unpopular twist.

If you didn't see that coming from the beginning you need to have your eyes checked.

The 4 coaches are now players in the game and the game was "restarted" so they didn't vote anybody out and now all the players, including the coaches, are now just regular players. Shane, who was HOH last week, got screwed because his HOH didn't mean anything and he didn't get to evict anybody. Since the game was restarted, he DID get to play in the HOH competition that started on TV last night.

I think it was a pretty much certainty that this twist was planned from the start. All the coaches had keyholes next to their names on the wall from the start so it was pretty sure that something like this was planned from the start.
