Original 14-hour Philips TiVo

Hi all,

Do the original 14-hour Philips models have any market value any more?

My in-laws are done with theirs, but it works great. It's currently on an annual plan. (Believe it or not, the in-laws have been very happy with that annual plan!)

Thanks!

Most, if not all of these devices can be used to manually record without a subscription so they have some value.

I bought a Series 2 single tuner with lifetime service for $50. It has 80 hr capacity.
This would be a tough sell for limited manual recording. I recommend searching on eBay, and check "completed" listings, to see what closed.

All Philips Series 1 and most Sony Series 1 TiVos can record manually without a subscription. Not sure they are worth much though.

I had a couple of those and sold them within the past two years. About the best you might expect on eBay is $20 plus shipping. That's a shame because with the manual recording capability they are good as a VCR replacement, as a security DVR, or any other interesting application where you can input video via RCA cables. Almost makes me wish I still had one.
