Glass House - Episode 1 - 6/18/2012

Wow, Apollo has the biggest ears on any human I've ever seen.

Turned it off after 15 minutes. It's hard to see what CBS was so worried about.

I can definitely see why CBS would think this is a Big Brother rip off because it is.
But ripping off other TV shows has been done since television started. Very little is original any more. People generally don't like blatant rip offs though, so I would be surprised if it pulled in decent ratings.

It's too bad the dumb guy quit. He could have been amusing. Not knowing whether Oregon was in the west or east was funny.

I am annoyed by the guy choosing his votes randomly. Play the game you hippie!

We tried watching and it was much to grating too put up with. And the the dude trying to be the "most hated" player, was just too annoying.

I'll stick with BB, we've watched since the first season, and it's our go to show for summer.

Only amusing part of the GH were the bikinis.

This was pretty painful. I am guessing CBS never saw an episode. If they had, they would have gladly let this go on, because they could see how bad it was.

I watched the whole episode and will continue to watch- for now.

I am going to vote against the ****** who is trying to be the villain. He should know there is a difference in being a villain who is a mastermind and is fun to watch and being a ******.

He was just a ******.

For those interested, Joy's last name is Glass. Google her name if you want to see her Playboy pics.

Favorite so far is the big guy. I like the cop and the other older guy as well. And Jew Mama, or whatever she called herself.

I would not be surprised if I drop this will BB starts.

I found it funny the announcer said something like: "It's finally here. The show they didn't want you to see" Since it's only once a week, I'll probably keep watching.

They can't even get through a single elimination before somebody quits. Very strange! I wonder why he quit. There was a pretty even chance he'd have been back. He was much more likable than the evil guy and entertaining too.

I'm sticking with it. It is only 10 episodes and have no scheduling conflicts.

Alex, the self-proclaimed villain is a jerk, wonder if America will keep him in just to annoy everyone else? If he stays in, are you gonna cry? Huh, you gonna cry? lol

I will stick with it because IIRC it is only one night a week, not too big of a time suck.

Watched the whole thing (at faster than realtime).. seemed almost exactly BB, except more viewer input..

The one guy trying to be the bad guy seemed to me to be VERY much like Dr Will (???). In looks AND behavior.

I know I've seen Joy somewhere before. Maybe it was in Playboy. I'll have to look at the pics when I get home.

I thought it was interesting that they were referring to the villain as a d-bag but one of the women used the full term and it wasn't bleeped. So how come we can't type that word here?

I, too, was thinking I'd seen Joy Glass before. And I actually had to look up her Playboy pix, so it wasn't there. I mean, I think I've seen her talking before. But maybe it's just because she looks so much like Jane Weidland.

I finally watched, and I thought meh, it really is a rip off of Big Brother, with more audience participation. Too much of the show nothing was happening, and considering it's ONE hour a week, you'd think they could find a LOT to show. The bikinis were fun (and boy, were there a lot of boob jobs in that room). The guy Alex, I didn't get a Dr. Will vibe, more a Colton (from Survivor) vibe. He was being mean, vindictive and obnoxious. I always found that Dr. Will charmed people while lying to their face. Alex has no real charm. I just want to smack that weird grin off his face.

I'm in for now, since it's only once a week and I have no conflicts, but I can see me giving up on it if it gets more boring.

I know she has the body for Playboy, but Playboy usually has women that have beautiful faces too (yes, I look at their faces!!). Joy looks very mousy to me. Not ugly, but not really pretty either.

Or maybe Playboy dropped their standards since I used to read it in the 80s

He is nothing like Dr. Will. All Alex is doing is hurting people's feelings purposefully which isn't the least bit entertaining. Will had a strategy and a game plan.

I'm a BB fan and I'm sticking with this ... for now. Haven't seen enough to draw a definite conclusion yet, but I'm thinking BB is much better.

Same here. BB fan here and I like that better. But there is nothing else on TV right now, so I'll still watch.

The wall challenge was pretty cool. Better than the quality of most BB challenges.

BB fan. I am still more excited about BB coming back in just under a month.

I am sticking with this show for now. Holly is easy on the eyes and I am actually enjoying the cop, the old dude, and the fat guy.

Not the best way to remember those three, but I will bother to learn names later if I stick with show long term.

I'm a BB fan and even though GH seems like the generic brand of BB, I will watch it. It is good enough for summer.

I bet there is not a person in America who will say "I used to watch BB but now that GH exists I will watch that and not BB". So there wasn't anything for CBS to be worried about.

The thing that remains to be seen is how the game will progress as America votes. The only real interesting thing here was the ahole and I'm thinking he'll go soon. It's one thing for America to say "Yes" to the "Should I be the most evil reality show contestant in history?" before they've seen ANY of the show or this guy to start with, just to see what happens. I won't be shocked when America votes him out because he's just being a jerk.

I'm not sure I can stay with this show if that d-bag Alex sticks around. Sorry, I don't find grown men making women cry entertaining.

I disagree. An evil master mind would be interesting (Dr. Will) and I would actually vote to keep him.

An ahole who just insults people for the sake of insulting them is going to get really old very quickly. Hope he goes this week.

The "Big Sister" voice shouldn't have told the viewing audience that the moron left.

I totally missed this--was it during the show? I wasn't paying very much attention, but I'll give it another week. BB always seems more annoying early on before you know anyone. Maybe this will improve too.
