AMC is marathoning Walking Dead on July 8

AMC will marathon all 19 episodes of The Walking Dead‘s first two seasons the weekend of July 8, leading up to a special edition of Talking Dead and a never-before-broadcast black-and-white conversion of the series pilot.
The Dead-athon kicks off Saturday, July 8 at 11:30am EST, running to 1 am that night. The action picks back up Sunday at 11:30 am, leading into the 9 o’clock Talking Dead special and then the 10 pm showing of the B&W series opener.
The marathon event will also be laden with behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews, and maybe a peek or two at Season 3, premiering this fall.

But, July 8th is Sunday, not Saturday, so they've got the timing off a bit.

Got way too much other stuff to watch to do the whole marathone. I've seen season 1 twice already and have watched season 2. But I will watch talking dead and the black and white pilot for sure.

Cool. Thanks! I've only had HD since March, so I'd love to watch again, only in HD this time. I'm sure the carnage will look much cooler.

Yeah, our cableco just added AMC HD this past March, too, I may stockpile these as well....

It just had to be scheduled at that date. :/ Dish is supposed to drop AMC at the end of this month if nothing is worked out. They already moved it, being rude and doing it during a show.
It's tricky being so close because if you call Directv on the first or second and manage to get it installed before the marathon, you might just learn Dish and AMC had come to an agreement. If you wait it out a couple days to see no change, you may not have Directv installed in time for the marathon.

Speaking of Walking Dead.. I know over the course of conversations regarding this show, everyone has talked a great deal about World War Z. Well I picked up the audio book today. It caught my attention because at the bottom it says "Read by a full cast" ....
