Common Law - pilot episode
Is anyone else here watching this? I thought the show looked promising, and being on USA it automatically gets a few extra points. But it felt forced. The script was trying way too hard to be cutesy and invest the viewer into an established relationship. Especially grievous was the cop shooting the dancing balloon man with no regard to what was behind it.
I'll try another episode or two, but USA may have a dud on their hands.

It's a very strange show. I'm not sure if I want to keep watching, but since it's the dead season, I'm giving it more of a chance than I normally would.
Which makes USA pretty smart, I guess!

We are watching it. Not the best stuff around, but it's a lighthearted summer show. And I really liked Michael Ealey in "Sleeper Cell".

I actually deleted the show after the dancing balloon shooting. I just found that to be too ridiculous.
Proof!!

Have watched the first one, slept thru the second. Not too much else on to watch. Could end up being good if the writers and actors get the relationship correct.

I watched the first episodes so far. It's okay. We'll probably continue watching since there isn't much else new one.

Dud for me. At least based on the pilot.
As you mentioned, the shooting of the balloon man was beyond absurd. Shooting the car in the dealership was bad enough, but firing randomly at the general public was unforgivable writing.
My wife thought it was OK, but based solely on the leads being attractive.

Probably USA Network's least interesting series -- but I'm still watching it. If just for Sonya Walger.

Heheh. Although I watched Royal Pains' first season, the brother was so intolerably obnixious IMO, that I was on-the-fence about watching another season. Fortunately, they tempered his personality in the next season -- annoyingly obnoxious but lovable.
This show is . . . tolerable and amusing and, for me, good enough to keep recording.
