I believe Animal Practice is actually real, as I saw a promo for it. Or did I?

I would watch Animal Practice. Because we need more cute animals on TV. Animal Planet simply isn't enough.

"Go On" spoiler:
Spoiler:
So this is about Matthew Perry as a guy in group therapy? Or the therapist himself? Oh my gosh, a therapist with a sardonic sense of humor and a bunch of wacky patients? That's never been done before! Wait, what's that you say? Bob Newhart did it 40 years ago?

I watched the trailer for Animal Practice. I can't help that I laughed at the monkey. So sue me.

I've read that Animal Practice is supposedly pretty darn funny.

The monkey is the same one that plays "Annie's Boobs" on Community.

Who would have believed that a show about nothing was a real show?

I wasn't impressed with the trailer but I might watch to see "Annie's Boobs"

I am looking forward to The New Normal.

I just hope 1600 Penn has lots of Independance Day references.

If I had not already heard about Animal Practice, I would've thought that was fake.

As of last night, the cast now also includes Joanna Garcia Swisher.

Lots to like for me about Animal Practice. Funny previews ("My life is not perfect but I love animals and meet a lot of girls. <short pause> My life is perfect."). Enjoyed Justin Kirk's work in Weeds and Tyler Labine's in Reaper. Looking forward to checking it out in the fall.

So what was the point of the "real or fake" part of this thread? Was the OP thinking that some of those titles and/or promo shots seemed like they wouldn't be real shows?

Duhhh ... YUP!!

When I came upon this thing (see the link in my OP), I was fooled into thinking that some of these (or all) were Photoshopped promos for ridiculous premises for new shows. They LOOK fake.

I mean, the background people in the "Next Caller" graphic look to be poorly Photoshopped. But the show is legit.

The "Guys with Kids" graphic looks like a photoshoot from a Sears catalogue with a bad backdrop. And the premise sounds like "Three Men and a Baby ... and a Baby ... and a Baby". Ack! But it's a legit show which was actually pitched and greenlit and cast and written and produced and scheduled to air.

I love how the entire worth of a series can apparently be judged by a promo photo...

Go On for example just shows an ensamble cast. No clue to what the show is. Next Caller looks like a WKRAP clone (which would not be a bad thing.)

I spelled many things wrong but I got that when I watched the show. So I look forward to learning what the call letters are for the station in the new show. If it had been west of Chicago or where ever the line is, it would have been KRAP?

I can just see the creative process for this one from the network suits.
