The Following - Season 2

How is it that search doesn't bring back any threads on The Following on Fox?

I didn't watch this live, but had saved up the series and caught up over a bunch of flights the last couple of months. I liked it a lot, even though it lost some steam toward the end, and will definitely tune in for season 2, but how will they get by without Joe?

Yes, lost enough steam to drop the SP here...

I may give it another try.

That is weird. I wonder if "following" is a reserved word or something. You can find all the threads in Bing with this search: following site:tivocommunity.com

Here's the thread for the season finale, in which many TCF'ers swore they would never return. But, like Joe, I think many will be back.

It is well-known around here that the search facility on this forum is utterly lame and worthless. No one (with any ability to do anything about it) seems to care.

Yeah I remember threads about it last year. I liked it initially then kept watching just to see how it would turn out. "lost steam" is the right phrase IMO. I guess I'll check out the new season initially.

I hate to sound like a thread crapper, but I read the threads just to see people rant about how they hate the show, but are still watching.

I dropped it too. I watched and threadcrapped until about the third to the last one and suddenly I could not take another minute.

For those who will continue to watch, I hope it gets better. But I'm staying out.

It bums me out that Kevin Bacon would be given such a stupid show AND I'm really surprised it got renewed.

I'm going to watch mainly so I can come here and talk about how much I hate watching it. It might be one of the worst written shows ever. Most of the eye candy is gone. Hopefully they bring in some more.

Caught episode SE02E01 last night. Seemed to start 5-10 minutes earlier than the guide listed 10:30, probably due to the NFC playoff game?

I made it thru about 15 -20 minutes, then just had to turn it off. I'm out, before I was even in. No SP to delete, as it's still deleted from SE01!

I won't mention my issues until a spoiler thread pops-up. Happy to let this one pass me by.

I can't believe they started it EARLY! Why on earth would they do this? Why couldn't they just run commentary after the game so the show could start on time. They put a LOT of promotion into this and then they screw DVR users? It makes no sense.

Probably because of local east coast affliliates. They were pushing the "Ten O'Clock News" back to air this.

Isn't this a spoiler thread? The topic title is "The Following: Season 2". It will be kind of hard to talk about season 2 without mentioning anything that happens in season 2.

The first rule of the Following Season 2 thread.........you don't talk about The Following Season 2.

I think the real intriguing part of Season 2 is the creepiness of the Joe Carroll mask. Everything else is the same. I look forward to the posts.

I was equally annoyed. This will be my third thread bitching about it.

Anyhow, S02E01 provides more of the same of what we experienced in season 1. Why would anyone expect anything different? Apparently they had good ratings delivering what they did, so they're feeding us more.

I enjoyed S02E01, for all the same reasons that I enjoyed S01. I just don't give a crap if it's unrealistic or law enforcement does stupid things. It's television, not reality.

I found it funny that the followers were living in Burlington County, NJ. I guess even serial killers don't want to live in Camden County. :-)

Didn't watch. Don't plan to. I just popped in here to see if there was any discussion about how Joe Carroll survived the explosion that supposedly killed him at the end of S1.

I don't recall them exactly discussing it, though my viewing experience was messed up from the early start debacle. We did get to meet the follower who picked up Joe Carroll after he escaped.

On thing I didn't pick up from the season premiere -- Ryan Hardy seems to know that Joe Carroll survived, but how does he know this? I saw a passing reference to Hardy requesting Carroll's DNA or something along those lines.

They don't want the Hickeys and the Chances as their neighbors.

I think they showed him lifting up a trap door--and the building was on the water.

The twins are nice and creepy.

Of course, I'm expecting everyone I see to be a secret follower--the survivor, the alcoholics, the new FBI guys.....

Our hero seems to have no problem with ruining his niece's career.

I am having a hard time remembering exactly how the last season ended. Was it recapped a bit in the time I missed in my recording?

I thought Ryan was stabbed/shot by his old red headed girlfriend that was a Follower of Joe? Where is Claire?
