Yeah, I'm gonna tape this coming season (S6?) waiting for DVDs to get to NetFlix so I can watch the last season (S5?)

Franklin and Bash and Falling Skies.

Sometimes an interesting reality show pops up. One season there was one following the trail of the hunt for Dr. Livingstone in Africa.

I just watched half of the first episode of Common Law and deleted my season pass. The one cop walks outside and shoots 3 rounds into an inflatable dude thingie. Behind the inflatable thing is an open street with cars driving by. Easy potential to kill innocent people. The guy says he shot it because he hates those things. Just too stupid for me.

I really liked Suits.

It dealt with an aspect of the law you don't see much on TV, and I thought it was really well done.

Besides the USA channel shows and Alphas among others, I have 14 episodes of Castle to catch up on!

Suits (June 14)
Royal Pains (June 6)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the biggie: The Newsroom on HBO, starting June 24.

http://www.hbo.com/the-newsroom/index.html
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ne...._TV_series%29

I'm also watching Episodes on the BBC. If you subscribe to a VPN, or even use a freebie one like Expat Shield, then you can use the BBC iPlayer on your computer. Tons and tons of current Brit shows with no commercials, with many past episodes available.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_iPlayer
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio (you can see lists of available shows but you can't watch unless you're doing the VPN trick)
http://www.expatshield.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network Explains VPN. The simple explanation is that when I'm using Witopia any site I connect to thinks I'm located in London rather than my actual ISP in the US. It's also useful for avoiding RIAA and MPAA lawsuits. :-)

I use and recommend Witopia for a paid VPN. https://www.witopia.net/ It's not expensive, around $5-$6 per month, and you can find discount coupon codes on the net.

The only summer series I make it a point to watch are America's Got Talent and Futurama. I still have to get through my DVDs of The Sopranos (right now I'm at the end of Season 2, and don't worry about spoiling it as I already know about the ending).

Of course, there's the Olympics, but who knows how much of that I'll end up watching online as the events I want to see aren't being broadcast.

Also, technically the Emmys are a "summer" program, as the fall season usually starts the next day, although this year's Emmys are on 9/23, so I expect some shows to start a week earlier. (Fox has even started shows on the first week in September on occasion; The Simpsons in 1994, as Fox wanted new episodes to pair with its new NFL coverage, and both Glee and So You Think You Can Dance in 2009, in order to get them completed (the first 13, anyway, for Glee) by December with postseason baseball pre-emptions.)

Besides a lot of shows others have already mentioned, Psych is a summer show, right?

Edit: nope. Switched to the fall last year. That's right.

I was going to post: the one I'm looking most forward to is The Newsroom. My wife is really excited for True Blood, which I find fun but not "must-see-TV". I enjoyed Franklin & Bash last summer so I'm definitely in for that. I missed the last two episodes of Falling Skies but saw the rest and I'll probably try it again this year.

We'll watch SYTYCD: that's the only performance/contest show I ever watch. I only watch Survivor for reality shows, so none of the others mentioned here interest me.

Probably that's about it. We'll watch some of the Olympics I imagine. Otherwise we'll be out and about!

Breaking Bad first and foremost.
The Newsroom looks fantastic.
White Collar, Burn Notice and Royal Pains.
Louie is back at the end of June, too.
I also need to watch S4 of Damages before the fifth and final season starts in July.

The only thing getting me through Game of Thrones only having 2 episodes left is that it means only 3 Sundays until Breaking Bad starts!

Bachelor Pad will be on once Bachelorette is over. Mid-summer.

If you like Big Brother you might like The Glass House (June 18). CBS is suing ABC over it because it is so similar yo BB.

Wow.. CBS shouldn't throw dead authors at glass houses.. or something like that.

(hopefully someone gets that)

I'm going to sound stupid, but I have a question. Can you turn expatshield on and off so that you can still access U.S. only content?
