Upgrading Premier to XL4 advice

So for some reason the deal the have currently going for existing customers was sweet enough to pull the trigger on an XL4 today. Will be replacing the 5month old Premier XL in the living room with it.

Any advice on smooth transition?

**also will sell this 2TB Premier once I swap them out so if anyone is looking for a lifetime Premier, let me know.

Download KMTTG and backup your season passes. It will make it easier to copy those passes to your new XL4.

You then just load the file once the XL4 is setup and running and can use KMTTG to restore any that are in the current guide.

$399 + $399 instead of $500+$500. Ended up getting the extended warranty for $30 also.

I figure I can at least get $500 for my existing Premier 2TB

Oh.... it has been that cost for MSD for several weeks now......

I would commit to lifetime or an XL4 but i am not particular fond of my cable company so i am not sure how long i will stick with it

Didn't know that, just happened to log in today and saw the deal on their site. We just switched to Wide Open West from Comcast and love it.

Won't this lose all the ones that aren't in the guide? This is a bad thing, does Tivo's website do the same? I would hope that you can copy ALL the SPs over and not just ones that have current shows.

yes using the online SP manager you can copy all of them to another box on your account. (well I know for sure Series 4 to Series 4)

But it won't copy wishlists, from what others have said.
