Yup. Your girl still safe just to sing another week for you.

Isn't it top 6 results? I always get confused how we do this.

It is not what I wanted but it is what I expected and predicted after last night.

<sarcasm> At least now we get to watch two more standing ovations and have the judges gush over Joshua again next week.</sarcasm>

Biggest surprise for me was Skylar in the bottom three.

I definitely noticed that Phillip was not in the ford commercial tonight

Listening to Elise sing Whole Lotta Love again just made me think of what could have been if she had stuck to that wheelhouse instead of trying to be something different every single week

Yeah I mentioned that last week. I called my thread Top 7 results and Ninny had it as top 6.

Sorry - I actually didn't know what to call it so I went with 5.

I was shell-shocked.

And I'm gonna need 2004raptor to get on over here and publicly apologize to Phillip and his fans for losing the faith. Shameful!

You got it. I'm sorry. But in fairness I did say I wanted Elise to go but that I had a feeling America was growing tired of PP.

I'm on the PP train until the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're rooting for Hollie to at least make top 3 for the homecoming episode since she lives in the same town as us. That'd be pretty neat.

I'm not one either but I think she is the most consistently good week in and week out and I am betting on the country voters who gave us a Scotty/Lauren duo in the finals last year come through with the votes again.

Whether she wins or not I expect she will sell more albums than any of the remaining contestants.

Speaking of which, Stefano has a single? He came in 7th last year and was in the bottom 3 four times. Of course I did not listen to it. As soon as the dance style beat kicked in I hit the FF button.

I'd like to see Hollie, Skylar, and Philip in the top 3.
I'm tempted to vote for Hollie but nah... I'm not voting this year.

I cant remember the contestants from last year. If not for Casey's trademark bird's nest beard, they would all be very easy to forget.

OMG - that Stefano song was PAINFUL! I only made it about halfway through and I had to FF.

Just. Awful.

No kidding. There was a reason he was voted off last year. I was watching live so didn't have the luxury of FF and I didn't mute hoping there would be something redeeming about it. There wasn't.

I completely agree. I'm bummed she won't be performing any more. Maybe she'll do something during the finale.

The lead singer from the Queen Extravaganza is quite good. Unfortunately, I'm not as sold by any of the rest of the band.

BTW: who was that on lead vocal when Queen took the stage? Was he part of Queen Extravaganza, or someone they have touring with Queen right now?

I didn't see the results but I'm guessing that Elise went home. If so, what a shame.

What did everyone think of Katy Perry's performance? I like her music but she was noticeably out of key on much of it. I knew it was going to be a bit sketchy as soon as she pulled her earpiece out. Still enjoyed it though, and it's refreshing to know she's not lip syncing to a backing track.

Anyone catch Seacrest's unintentional handshake diss at the beginning?

Poor girl.

I like Katy Perry. I think you summed it up. I'd rather hear an artist sing a bit off key or out of breath than lip syncy any day. I liked it.

Yeah, that guy was really good. He even had a resemblance to Freddy too, especially his mouth/teeth. Anything having to do with Queen on the performance night was a complete embarrassment, I'm glad they did this last night to somewhat correct that.

i thought katy perry was ech

and i realize i have gotten to that point again where i don't really care who wins

thank god for jimmy iovine - he's the only one that speaks the truth about the contestants.

I've always had the feeling that's precisely why they added him to the show. To bring in the "Simon Cowell" factor (since JLO and Tyler don't).
