I think the #1 "__________" show of all-time was The Prisoner - its last episode certainly asked more questions than it answered. Lost, Fringe, and possibly The X-Files are contenders. (Didn't the last episode of The X-Files say there would be an alien invasion right around the time the most recent Mayan calendar "ends" at the end of 2012?)

On the Internet, perhaps. Ratings indicate otherwise.

Most Overrated Comedy (if it is a comedy, I can't tell) - Sports Night
Most Overrated Drama - Mad Men

I tried to get through Sports Night but after the first five, I figured it wasn't going to get any better.

I actually watch Mad Men as it's something different but I still find it extremely overrated. If it ended tomorrow it wouldn't phase me in the least.

The Wire is my all time favorite drama.
Parks And Rec is probably my favorite comedy now, but all time I think I'd have to go with Cheers or Taxi. Tossup.

Since they don't give out Emmy's for Best Picture, I think there should be a lot more on that list.

SportsNight was NOT a comedy, which is why it was cut. It was a dramady and should have been an hour long. If it was, it would have lasted a lot longer.

Sorry. Crappy, uninteresting half hour drama. If it was 60 minutes it would have been as bad as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I guess I just don't get Aaron Sorkin. The only thing I ever liked of his was A Few Good Men. Haven't seen Moneyball though.

Then we have to agree to disagree.

Although I never got into S60, I loved SportsNight as well as A Few Good Men, Moneyball and Social Network.

Looking forward to Newsroom, coming soon.

The Creepiest Show of all time: Sweet Genius.

The guy on that show is strange, bizarre, weird and even just seeing the previews for it during Chopped gets me wigged out.

It was a fairly unique show tucked away on a second-tier network. I only heard of it from TCF.

Other shows that started off strong and went downhill for me were The 4400 and Ally McBeal. The last season of AM was just odd.

The fact that it was a "show about nothing" is not a statement about the quality of the show. It is simply referring to the fact that most shows start out with some kind of premise (members of a mobile army hospital during the Korean war, an odd group of strangers who gather in a Boston bar, six twenty-somethings who live in NYC and often hang out in a coffee shop, a guy telling a story to his future kids about how he met their mother, etc.). Seinfeld embraced the fact that it was pitched solely on the strength of Jerry's standup reputation and didn't have to include some arbitrary "story" to get on the air. The fact that most shows that have any success have to stray from their initial premise shows that the lack of a premise was actually a good thing for Seinfeld.

Season 4 was zombies and I agree it was bad. It got MUCH better in season 5 with Rachel Nichols. I didn't think they could pull it off with a pregnant Jennifer Garner but they did it very well.

Best show ever is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Best show currently on TV is Breaking Bad.

My favorite show that I'm ashamed to say I watch is Revenge.

Best show for one liners is 2 Broke Girls.

Most annoying character on a TV show is Ted Mosby.

Best show to get canceled several times and still keep on trucking is Arrested Development.

I once heard John Ritter refer to Three's Company as the original "show about nothing". He also gave Seinfeld credit. He explained that all it meant was that the show didn't try to change the world or provide any kind of meaningful message. Many sitcoms at the time were trying to make some kind of statement. I always think of Full House that always had the "lesson learned" moment at the end. Seinfeld didn't do that. They just provided laughs.

FYP

Do you seriously like the dialogue on 2 Broke Girls? I've basically stopped watching, almost entirely because I can't stand the constant one-liners from Max, and her mugging for the camera as if she were so clever.

This was a show I actually wanted to hate. Somehow the two girls grew on me and even the supporting characters. I enjoy the one liners. It's good fun and I don't have to think too hard.

I have been watching a lot of 30 Rock reruns and I often find myself googling stuff because I don't always understand the jokes. I won't ever have that problem with 2 Broke Girls.

I think 30 Rock is the best show for one-liners. Can't think of any jokes I've had to Google.

Best Four Season show that should've ended after season one: Prison Break.
