PyTiVo Version - wmcbrine-2009.03.19-RC1
Yes I know the version of PyTiVi is three years old but the TiVo Series II is older.
The TiVo freezes when accessing data from the PC. For example, when in the Now Playing list and you click on a folder or subfolder. The screen changes to the empty list and the blue Please Wait box opens. Ocassionally it will take ten to fifteen seconds before the list appears but two or three times a day the list will never appear and the Please Wait box stays up. The only way to recover is to unplug the TiVo, wait ten to twenty seconds and plug it in again.
I was used to having this happen once or twice a week but it is now happening two or three times a day.
It appears the TiVo is wait for a response from the PC that either it missed or the PC didn't send. Appearently, the network I/O module in the TiVo operating system doesn't have a timeout function.
There does not appear to be any problem in transferring programs as I have not seen a transfer hang.
I don't think it is a pyTiVo problem as it has been running for three years on the same system.
Is there anyway to set a network timeout on the TiVo?
