Tivo Android App not working on CyanogenMod V9
I have the TIVO android app working correctly on my Android cell phone via WIFI so I know the TIVO is setup correctly. (Network remote Control is ON in the TIVO)
I have a HP Touchpad running Android 4.0.4 (the latest CyanogenMod Ver 9.0.0-RC0 Touchpad-alpha2). Everything is working fine with the tablet!
I installed the latest TIVO app Ver1.5.1.35(3) on it. and when I search for my TIVO on the network, I get the "No Compatible Boxes Found" error and can't connect.
TIVO is connected to my router via ethernet cable.
Rebooted TIVO, router, and tablet.
uninstalled TIVO app and reinstalled
Still not working. REMEMBER, it works on my cell phone via WIFI (not 3/4g).
I'm trying to say that I've gone through all the troubleshooting that's on the TIVO website without a fix
Any ideas?

What is your cell phone running?
Assuming you Rooted it to put Android 4.0.4 anda custom ROM.
Works fine on my cellphone using ICS 4.0.2 Stock

It works sometimes, but usually fails unable to connect, on both my phone and tablet, running CM7 and CM9 respectively. Seems likely it has a problem with any Cyanogen ROM.

Looks like rcobourn hijacked my thread :| or maybe explaining that he's having the same / smilar issues.
My cell phone is running android 2.3.4 (TMOBILE HTC MyTouch Sense Ver 2.1) not rooted or modded in any way. It connects fine to the TIVO via the app.
Again, phone works fine but tablet doesn't. Please read my original post by EDDIEROCK above.
The tablet that doesn't work is a HP Touchpad running Android 4.0.4 (the latest CyanogenMod Ver 9.0.0-RC0 Touchpad-alpha2).
Please help. The tablet runs many things in the house and this would complete it's functionality
Please don't ask silly questions. If you have a fix, please reply.
thanks,
EddieRock

Wasn't hijacking your thread, was attempting to help by verifying there seems to be an issue on CM ROM devices. Not sure why that hurt your feelings. I'm not sure why anyone should want to help you with that attitude. I'm out.

I'm using CM9 alpha 5 on my Epic 4G. Just installed the Tivo app on it, and scanning for tivo boxes, it seems to find them fine. I've stopped/started the app multiple times, scanned multiple times. All seems to work OK.
I'll play with it some more through out the day to see if I can notice it failing at all.

I was able to connect to the TiVo once using my TouchPad with CM9 a few days ago, but it hasn't worked since. My iPod Touch can still connect, so it's obviously not the network or the TiVo. Sorry, not helpful, but another data point that it appears something wtih CM9 on the Touchpad might be broken as far as the TiVo app goes.

Another report of app not working on CM9 on TouchPad
Count me as another user with CM9/Ice Cream Sandwich running on an HP TouchPad who is unable to use TiVo's app to connect with my two Premiere boxes (and yes, they're all on the same home network and network remote is turned on). Oddly, the 3rd party TiVo control app, RCX for TiVo, *does* work to control my Premieres, but its interface is clunky and I'd much prefer to use the official app. {Jonathan}

Same problem here: Galaxy Nexus with a CM9 Kang (AOKP). I've tried it many times and it saw the Tivo once, but only that once.

I have the same issue with TiVo not connecting to my Touch pad running CM9. Everything else works splendidly though. I suspect it's a problem with CM9 not the TiVo since it does work on the iPad and android phone.

Ditto here. I'm updating the touchpad daily with incremental updates; so far, no joy.

Ditto here. Running the latest eyeballer on my touchpad, and it still does not find a tivo box. My phone that runs Gingerbread works fine.

I notice 2 issues:
1) The app does not rotate to landscape view. Stays in portrait mode regardless of whether rotated left or right.
2) The onscreen remotes' buttons are off center. They are leaning to the left side of the screen.

TouchPad android app issues
I'm having similar TP issues, although it HAS connected a few infrequent times. I spoke with TiVo support last week and they acknowledged the problem, indicating it was with larger tablets, eg the TP. May try the newer build as suggested earlier...

Kindle Fire (Original Generation) TiVo App Will Not Connect
Like others, my android-based Kindle Fire TiVo app will not connect to either of my two TiVo's although all of my iOS Apple Devices connect with no problems.
Never successful ... receive message that TiVo's must not be on the same network ...but of course they are.
Does any Kindle use have any success with this app?
