Resume Playing oddity
This just started happening a week or so ago - has anyone experienced watching a show and coming back to it later only to have it back at the beginning instead of where you left off?

No, I have not. But this is a question that has come up for Premiere users.
First, how are you exiting the show (TiVo button, Live TV button, back arrow)? Do you hit pause before you exit the program?

This has been discussed over in the Premiere forum. It has been fixed in the latest update, version 20.

Ok, I just came here to check on this same problem and it's 2012. If it's been fixed it didn't work because 50% of the time my programs go back to the beginning; instead of resuming and I can't figure out how I can exit a running program so that I can Resume, and not start back to the beginning.
Is there a pattern? Should I pause before exiting, should I back out, should I just hit the TiVo button???
It's really frustrating because I never know when Resume is going to work

Pressing Left from the directional will stop and get you back to the program info screen where you had just played the show.

I understand that what you are saying is that I should press left (of the Select button) to exit a program that is playing. At that point I usually see that the "Play" option has changed to "resume playing"; that's encouraging.
The next step would be to go left again, to take me out of the program information, and into "My Shows".
However; there is no guarantee that there will be a "resume playing" option when I return, in fact half the time the option is "Play" and I have to fast forward to the place where I left off watching.

This problem no longer exists for me, regardless of situation. I rarely exit shows with a Left. I usually just quit with either the TiVo button, or simply drop to Live TV. And when I return to Now Playing, it always restarts in the correct spot. Always. And I did used to have this problem, so I know what it was like (and it was a major PITA). It is 100% gone for me.
I have no idea why it's still around for some of you.

I've tried that method as well, so I know, now, that any method works; for most people. Guess I'll just have to live with it, since it seems to be fixed for most people.
Thanks
