TiVo Desktop with multiple TiVo Boxes

In TiVo Desktop, it says that if you change the Media Access Key, it will make all transferred recordings on that box not viewable.

So how to you handle more than one TiVo box? Is there some type of "master/slave" configuration you need to set on the TiVo Boxes or something like that? Or is the TiVo Box limited to one pairing?

What about viewing/transferring recordings between TiVo's?

There is only 1 MAK (Media Access Key) per account - so all boxes on same account have same MAK. Multi Room Viewing between TiVos hence only works between boxes on same account that share same MAK.

If you change MAKs at some point,(like some dumbass

TiVo CSR did to me). All those previous recodings are no longer accessible to transfer. I had several terabytes of recordings on my PC that I could no longer transfer back to my TiVos to watch. I had to use Video ReDo and change them from .TiVo files to mpeg 2 files.
