Another enjoyable one with yet another powerfully emotional moment in it (or two). They really are firing on all cylinders.

This is not a criticism, because I like it, but everything is so complex these days in the stories, not like the old days at all

I loved this episode.

The closed captioning exposed Idris as the Tardis before the Doctor figured it out.

Dear BBC America: I do not give a flying **** about Graham Norton. Why must you crap all over my tv screen with an advertisement for his show?

I don't think it really was supposed to be a mystery to the viewers.

The TARDIS matrix gets deleted, and immediately Idris gets all glowy like Rose did when she looked into the heart of the TARDIS.

If you don't make the connection at that point, when she then sees the Doctor and says "My thief", it should be obvious.

Was it not obvious enough when the TARDIS powered down and then Idris was making the TARDIS sound?

loved:
"I've killed lots of Time Lords" / "I've killed them all."
"I wanted to see the universe, so I stole a Time Lord and ran away. And you were the only one mad enough."
"I didn't get you where you wanted to go; I got you where you needed to be"

Between that and the fact that the TARDIS stole a Time Lord while the Time Lord thought he stole a TARDIS, it really didn't miss a beat in my book.

I just loved, LOVED that she wanted to explore and this Doctor was the only one mad enough to take her on the the journey.

Great episode....

Only thing I was disappointed in was Idris not mentioning the other Mrs. Doctor (aka River Song), and her ability to correctly pilot the TARDIS. I think that would peeved Idris, a lot!

You mean Sexy.

(Idris was the human who was killed to [provide a body for Sexy, and I'm guessing Idris couldn't have cared less whether River could pilot the Tardis...)

Although Idris is a remarkably good name for a Tardis.

Perhaps coincidence, perhaps the human was called something different.

Well, we KNOW what the Tardis-human was called...Sexy. We saw her get named.

Idris must have been the human-human's name.

(Here on Earth, by the way, Idris is a boy's name...)

I love that the TARDIS now has a name, and I think I like that that name is Sexy (I'm just a wee bit ambivalent - I can't help but associate that name with "Sex," the bizarre auditioner from a couple of seasons of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance).

All in all, this was my favorite episode in a long while. Brilliant all around.

She is only called Sexy when nobody else is listening.

I know House used spare parts, but the human who was killed to provide a body for the TARDIS looked female to me.

If the body was basically female and human some of the possibilities are:
Idris is also a boy's name (either on Earth or some other planet inhabited by humans).
Idris was not her original name.
Idris was her last name, not her first name.

While Idris is usually a boy's name I actually know a girl called Idris also, it's a welsh name I think. I looked it up and it means fiery leader or prophet.

The actor who played her is Suranne Jones (Jones is probably the most common Welsh surname).

The Welsh Assembly (location of various Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes) used to have a member called Denise Idris Jones >

She kinda did mention River. At least, that's what I'm assuming she was referring to with her cryptic message to Rory: "The only water in the forest is the river." Which, come to think of it, "forest" could be a reference to the Library (and the Silence again).

I liked the junkyard TARDIS, especially when the one piece fell off.
