Does the end of Mobile Flash have any effect on TiVo development?

I see the reports that Adobe has terminated all mobile Flash development (and 750 jobs).

Is mobile Flash related at all to the Flash variant that TiVo uses?

How if at all might this affect TiVo going forward?

The version of flash on the TiVo Premiere is no longer developed anyways. It has nothing to do with the mobile announcment.

Adobe is the one that develops Flash Lite (not TiVo). And afaik, they have moved away from flash lite to Flash + Air. I do not know if the chip in the TiVo can be upgraded to support something newer than Flash Lite but I guess that is up to Broadcom.

Correct. My view is that TiVo & Broadcom will migrate to Adobe Air --> http://www.adobe.com/products/air.html

The Adobe® AIR® runtime enables developers to deploy standalone applications built with HTML, JavaScript, ActionScript®, Flex, Adobe Flash® Professional, and Adobe Flash Builder® across platforms and devices — including Android™, BlackBerry®, iOS devices, personal computers, and televisions.

which is about the demise of flash mobile. (so not the same as flash lite...)

Those licensing the source code can also still work on and release their own implementations.
presumably such a thing exists for broadcom and their chips to make changes to flash lite?
