Is this the first time we've seen Runkle actually be good at his job?

I can't help it, I know it shows how base my tastes run, but this show is funny. Funnier now than the last couple years. They have a great story arc this year, and it's being well played. Runkle was great, and it looks like MarciSmurf has a new career. And the scenes with the boss lawyer (Alan Dale--#1 character actor of the last few years) were hilarious.

Still don't buy the daughter though. Never have.

Probably not.
I never quite got the format for posting in TVT.

I am behind 4 episodes because I save them.
Last night I watched two, so now I am only two weeks behind.
I am an old married woman with three teenage boys, and I find this show very good.
I do not find it offensive, although sometimes, I am a tad shocked by what I hear.
Sometimes in the past, it has not been as well-written, but I believe the show has just gotten better with time.
I think it is well-written and acted, and you feel for the characters.
The daughter does not sit write with me and I think Marcy could tone it down and still be funny. I have always found that actress (Pamela Adlon) off-putting, and frankly I think she is playing the identical character in everlasting I have seen her in.

I think Californication has the best title of any show on TV. Ever.
That, plus a lead who is fantastic. I think DD is something else.
