Some of the other shows I am looking for state that there are no upcoming episodes for the next 2 weeks which I know isn't true. There is also a little Amazon icon in the bottom right corner. Why is happening? Is it because I don't have my coaxial cable in the Premiere and I don't have my m-card installed yet?

YES.
Amazing what you can't do when nothing is connected and your cablecard isn't activated. Analog channels aside, your cable card allows access and tells the TiVo what channels you get. This is ALL required (and created) by cable.
You cannot do Season Passes for TV Shows that are not in the guide. Your shows may not be in the guide because of the last paragraph. Streaming(Amazon, Blockbuster, Netflix, etc.) are not part of this. Those you can access anytime (assuming membership, etc) assuming internet access.
Season Passes are NOT about streaming they are about "recording" shows from the tuners. However, when you do searches and such your TiVo will show all shows/episodes that are available whether that be cable channels, Netflix, Amazon, etc.
No offense, have you read the manual? It'll help get the basics down.
I assume by "SD box", it's not a DVR. So you are about to have an AMAZING experience and fell like what the heck you were wasting your time before.
My cable DVR changed the way I watched TV. My TiVo, made me feel bad for wasting the money on that crappy cable DVR.
