Will ANY My DVR Expander model work with Premiere?
I just bought this model DVR expander from Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136384
Western Digital My DVR Expander 1TB eSATA External Hard Drive
WDG1S10000VN
But now I see that this is the "old" version. Some of the comments in the feedback suggest that this will work fine with a Premiere. While I still have time to cancel, I wanted to check if this was indeed the case...
Thanks for the advice.

Yes - I see your point. With coupon was $80 - so $40 difference, not trivial but not a lot.
There are plenty of people in the feedback there on Newegg using that model with their premieres.... so is it possible that my new premiere (well, not really new - sellout woot refurb) would not work with this older model?

Phew! Thanks so much.
Now if I can just get Comcast to bring the right Cablecard with them next time, I'll actually be able to use it.

I got the same deal but was never worried because I found multiple reviews on the internet by people who were using it with the premiere.

I have a TiVo Premiere that I installed a new 1TB hard drive in, can I still use a DVR expander to expand it even more? I remember with the TiVo HD you had to use the application that clones TiVo drives to marry it to an external, but the application for the TiVo premiere drives had no such option, is it still necessary?
