The Good Guys
I'm guessing by the lack of episode threads that the show isn't too popular around here.
I've been enjoying the show from the beginning and just watched the 12/3 episode. The preview for next week's episode indicated that it's the finale so I guess the show is toast.
Bummer!

This show has steadily grown on me all year. I enjoy it a lot. They made Dan Stark too much of a cartoon clown character which is what I think turned viewers off in the critical first two episodes. He's still a clown but like his partner Jack, I've grown to like him.

We love the show.
And Jenny Wade is one of the funniest people I follow on Twitter.

"The Good Guys" is terrifically funny. It is one of those shows (along with "Terriers") whose lack of audience is baffling to me. I am about to chalk these down to the old excuse, "just too good for T.V."

I -really- love this show. I dont post much about it because there isnt much to say or discuss. Its just good fun. I didn't like the first couple episodes but it grew on me.

This, exactly.
It's fun, it's not to be taken seriously, and I get an hour's enjoyment every week from it. Don't need more than that.

This is one of my (and my wife's) favorite shows. It just isn't one that I find any need to discuss on here afterwards for some reason. The episodes are all pretty self-contained so there is no story arc to speculate about, it's not sci-fi so there's no technology to theorize about or technobabble to make fun of, and it's not something with an established history like Smallville to quibble over.

Gonna say the exact same thing. Two best shows of the past year that are done.

BIH American Viewers. Is that too harsh? Maybe I should just restrict it to Nielsen Families?

Yep, the show was just good plain fun. I will miss it, and perhaps will buy the DVDs if they become available.
"Terriers" was also a very good show that didn't find its audience.
...and yet shows like "Jersey Shore" live on...WTH!

The promo for next week's show referred to it as the "finale", as opposed to "season finale".
I guess that's a bad sign, huh?

Cheap to produce and mindless, that's why those shows last. And the ratings say people watch. I've come to the conclusion that if I like a show, it's doomed. Don't watch anything I like

I always think they must have a backlog of about 6-7 years of paperwork for all the times they get into shootouts/carchases.

What? Noooooo, this better not be a series finale!
What irritates me about this possibility and so many other good shows that get canned is I actually do lots of Nielsen surveys. The thing is, none of them ever have a "what are your favorite shows" type of question where you can fill in the blank. They're always surveys about specific upcoming or newly-premiered shows, and sometimes longer surveys about several returning shows. But if they don't specifically mention a show, you have no mechanism for telling them you like it.

Great episode! Hate to think it is going away.
But loved the in your face line by Dan about "I spent time in a CSI and it was HELL!" Pretty much telling people there are enough shows like CSI out there and we need more fun shows like this one.
Also, liked that they headed out on a case with a stolen toaster, just like in the premiere and to the music used in the premiere as well (For Those About to Rock, We Salute You).
Another great show that falls victim to the narrowminded mentality of TV executives these days.

This would have been a good show for the USA network.

It would be a perfect fit on USA. I think it's a bit more outlandish than most of their shows, but not by much. It would fit well in a lineup with Psych, Royal Pains, Burn Notice, White Collar, IPS, Covert Affairs, etc. It would be a fun contrast to pair with L&O:CI.

Good point, Rob!
Also good point by the other poster that The Good Guys would work well on USA.
