Okay first things first. WTF is going on with Alaric? He's now just comic relief? I don't care if we got him almost naked or not [as nice as that was], I want to see him and Damon out doing some badass stuff together. Or at the very least have him involved in the ongoing story again. This is total BS.

And with that being said, I did a "what the what??" when I realized that Elijah wants Elena safe. So that means he's keeping Klaus in the dark about the doppleganger. Maybe he doesn't care if the curse is lifted... and now that I think about it, why should he? He clearly isn't at the mercy of this curse. Dude can't even be staked to death like a normal vamp!

I am not a shipper of any kind so tell me why I was so pissed when the Caroline/Tyler bonding moment was interrupted by Matt. Ugh, can he just go away now? Maybe Tyler can have him as a snack the first full moon. I find nothing at all interesting about this character and I think he drags Caroline's down.

On the other front, Bonnie/Jeremy/Luka. No. Stop now. I don't care about Bonnie's love life in any way shape or form. Luke is not interesting and I'd like to see Jeremy back on the Damon friendship/mentor wagon. He's fun with Damon.

So Stefan is locked in the tomb with Kat. That cannot go well. Kat's gonna be all over him and Damon will be the only brother protecting Elena. Here's the D/E hookup coming. I really don't mind. I actually hated Stefan last season but not so much this season and I've seen the chemistry between her and both brothers so I'm good either way that swings.

I'll resist the urge to talk too much about how hot Damon is when he's threatening people, even Elena.

She got the ring off Jonathan easily enough, albeit with a knife. I wish she would have, he is such a lame character now.

Does Nina Dobrev have the best job in the world, or what. She gets to make out with Damon, Stefan, and the dearly departed Mason!

I still think Elijah is Klaus.
My guess is there's a lot that needs to be done before the ritual/spell can be done to lift the curse. If Elijah takes Elena now then he'll have to keep her safe from harm before the time they perform the spell. I don't think he wants a repeat of what happened to Katherine (remember she hung herself.) Damon, Stefan and the rest of the scooby gang will do everything in their powers to keep her safe, even from herself. He can now find Elena anywhere with that spell the warlock performed on him early in the episode so once the pieces are all together he's probably planning on doing his terminator routine and take Elena easily.

Also for all we know there might be more werewolves and they might want to reverse the curse in their favor so if Damon has Elena they're going to have to fight them off while Elijah doesn't need to swat at flys while preparing.

Also I think the young warlock channeled Bonnie so when they do the spell to lift the curse Bonnie will be the only fatality.

IMO he's always been a lame character. He got a little bit interesting when he was trying to get Damon to be his mentor. Other than that....lame.

I think Katherine didn't want to really kill him. First, she kept getting more blood from him since he kept coming back to life. Second, she thought they'd have to remove the spell to get her to let him out.

I'd love to see Bonnie die, but just don't think we'll get that lucky. I think the young warlock is probably a good guy and probably don't know his dad is working for a bad guy...well, maybe a bad guy???

Jeez. Bonnie witch raped Luka with no remorse whatsoever. I hope there's some warlock on witch crime on the horizon.

I'm guessing neither Gilbert sibling did too well on their SATs. Jeremy incapacitated Katherine and then staked her in the gut or somewhere else as useless. Stake to the heart Jeremy. Stake to the heart. And move quicker when you're in the evil vampire's lair.

I don't know what Elena's plan to sacrifice herself to Klaus would do other than lift the vampire curse and doom the world to a butt load of misery with day walking vamps.

After watching that video, I'd quietly take seven handfuls of sleeping pills if I were Tyler.

To PSgrl, I had the exact opposite thought in the Matt/Caroline/Tyler scene. Why did Tyler need to come to the door? Matt is such the better person. Actually, Matt is the only really 'good' person on the show. See his terrible guilt about the fight. I don't see Tyler too broke up about killing someone.

It's like Bonnie's personality changes to whatever moves the plot along from week to week.

If they ever spun off a show starring Damon, Alaric and Caroline, it could be another Angel. Except that the lead character would be interesting.
