I purchased a Premiere XL when my Series 3 has a hardware issue (non-warranty/non repairable) from TIVO and I have yet to even get the box they removed the series 3 from my online account when they added the Premiere.
Now I supposed to have 60 days use of the Series 3, and I wanted to transfer my Series 3 Season Passes to the Premiere but since it does no appear online I can't do it.
I called Tivo Customer service and they said I had to wait for the Premiere to arrive and then I can swap my other box (Tivo HD in the Bedroom) to the old Series 3. Basiclly if I understand this swap the live TivoHD account with the Series 3 inactive account. Then transfer my Season Passes then swap the two Tivo's once more.
Kinda convoluted if you ask me. Whey couldn't they leave the Series 3 on my online account for the 60 days?
Another thought I just had, when I swap the TivoHD for the Series 3 will I lose my grandfather'ed $12.95 a month service?
Both the Series 3 (was $6.95 Multi-discount) and TivoHD $12.95, when I got the Premiere they said I could not transfer the $6.95 monthly, I had to go with a new plan.
I do not want to lose the $12.95 a month so it seems I just manually to my season passes.
If I check my Series 3 account on the Tivo itself it is listed as "0:Account Status unknown" but it still gets updates and I can transfer programs on my home network. On the website it is listed as an inactive DVR.
