Tivo Sound Issues

When I'm watching cable programming sometimes the tivo sound gets so low I can barely hear it. Does anyone have this problem? When I restart the Tivo the sound comes back to normal volume.

Talking channel sound or TiVo "bloop!" sound?

TV sound, i turn the bloops off.

I just watched the last two episodes of Lie to Me. Through both episodes the sound was up and down. Thought it was just the show.... but the shows were recorded a week apart. Just thought I'd mention it since it seems like what you brought up.

Strange, this exact same thing literally just happened on my TiVo tonight on all my OTA channels. (Cue LOST horns and/or Twilight Zone theme).
It was odd, the sound would get quiet and muffled, then get loud, then back to quiet. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it sounded just like you described. Fortunately, it seems to be working fine now after restarting my TiVo and my a/v receiver...
