The Office - "Sex Ed" - 10/14/2010
This felt like a slightly odd episode. I actually really liked it, but it wasn't LOL funny, at least not the Michael-meets-his-exes subplot. That was interesting and well done though, and made me wonder if they're setting up Holly's return (and Michael's departure?), or if that was the closure we'll get from that.

I like awkwardness on The Office. This seemed to have plenty of it, even if it felt a bit forced.

I thought it was weak compared to last night's Community and 30 Rock. Those were sweeps quality shows, this wasn't.

It was both awkward and funny, especially the final scene with Michael, Dwight and Oscar.

I loved hearing the Michael/Holly banter again. I miss them.
Maybe her now boyfriend can get hit by a truck (driven by Dwight of course. Or maybe driven by Mose).
I may have missed it along the way, but did Michael ever actually get tested and have it confirmed that it was Herpes?

I thought it was pretty good, although, that didn't sound like the real Holly on the phone. Anybody else catch that?

Pretty sure it was Holly on the phone.

Her name was in the opening credits for the episode as well.

And not even as a guest star, but included with the regular cast. Which I thought was odd. Melora Hardin was credited as a special guest star.

I guess that means that Melora's agent is better than Amy Ryan's agent.
Amy Pietz and Nancy Carrell got end credits as well.
I liked Michael and Holly's banter and the fact that Dwight was totally confused by it.
And exactly why did Andy and Erin break up?

I stand corrected. Hope she comes back full time. Her and Michael make a great couple.

Afaik, neither of them has mentioned any reason why. Unless I missed something. All that has been said is that the broke up and then Gabe asked her out.

...which is more than we knew before this episode. We now know that Andy and Erin were already broken up and that Gabe asked Andy if it would be okay to ask Erin out. So, contrary to what Andy said, Gabe didn't "steal" his girlfriend.
I can't believe what Andy said during the condom demonstration, though. Truthfully, I don't even know if I'm allowed to repeat it here.

Well, perhaps "The Office" is saving their sweeps-quality shows for when it's actually sweeps.

The thing is, when Erin described it in the first episode of the season, she made it sound like a Quid pro quo situation.
Which may or may not be accurate, knowing Erin.

I really liked this episode.
I had to laugh at Jan calling her daughter "Assy" when she came into the room - and the singing. Wow...what a freak.

What she said.
This is the first episode since "Niagara", I think, that I'm actually looking forward to seeing again sometime.

Why would you not be allowed to repeat that Andy said he wasn't even hard?
They're just words. They were on TV. At 9 PM.

I can't imagine how this show can survive next year without Steve Carell as the anchor. I don't see anyone in the current cast fulfilling that role.

They broke up because Erin freaked out when she found out Andy had been engaged to Angela.

That woman who plays Jan is either a weirdo or a very good actress. I'm guessing it's the latter. She and SC had such a great creepiness of chemistry between them too.

I was surprised he had so many girlfriends, must have missed some episodes. Who was that woman that he mistook the older woman for? Was that the woman he met in the bar?
