This is our 2nd TIVO, first one (Series 3 HD) installed the same way and working fine, but on a newer, non-HD TV.
Our setup is thru the phone line, and we have basic cable, so no cable card is needed. We have an older, non HD TV hooked up to it.
Since we installed this one (Series 3 HD XL) in June, it locks up continually so that we have to restart the DVR. It 's always locked up when we turn the TV on, and can rarely get through one TV show without a freeze up.
We've tried several different setups, and it seems to lock up when the wireless phone transmitter is engaged.
Could a set up with a wireless phone jack system (RCA RC940) cause a conflict where it freezes constantly and/or loses signal?
Would the TV model or age make a difference? This is an LXI, about 15 yrs old.
