The usual HD problems, but more questions

Hi folks,
I've been having the oft reported freezing/pixilation/truncated recording problems for some time now.... My HD passed all the short kickstart tests and I haven't run the long ones yet. My question is this: Should I seriously look at my WD expander as the culprit? I've already ordered a new Premiere since the $199 Amazon deal was pretty good and I won't be losing a lot of programs if I divorce the drive. ALL of my problems seem to be when watching or recording HD channels. This is why I am wondering where the problem might really lie.

By all means, I'd go ahead with the divorce. You've got the classic symptoms of HDD failure. You could run the WD Diagnostics on each drive also, but if you're not worried about losing recordings, why bother? (except for warranty claim) Divorce will tell you the drive that's gone south - internal or external. WD expanders are always suspect.
