I have a new issue with my Tivo HD on Cox with a CableCard, I have called Cox and Tivo......they are "looking into it"
I live in Sierra Vista, AZ, Cox's first market to go "all digital", you need a box or a CableCard just to get basic service here.
I have 2 Tivo HD's with CableCards installed and do not get all the channels I subscribe to. I have had Cox at my house several times and made many calls to technical support.
Everyone at Cox says they do not have tuning adapters in Sierra Vista because we are all digital, and that "those channels are just never going to come in with a CableCard because they are SDV"
At one point just for the heck of it, I let one of the technical people send me a tuning adapter because he insisted I needed it. I hooked it up and could not get it to initialize, called tech support, they re-sent the signal several times......nothing. They sent a tech out and the first thing out of his mouth was "why did they send you that? We don't need those here"
So a call to Tivo tech support comfirmed they had never heard of this either, and would call Cox to see what's going on.
I guess I'm just curious if anyone else who's systems have gone all digital has had these issues, or if anyone can offer advice on where to go from here.
I know Cox is required by the FCC to provide CableCards, but does the same hold true for tuning adapters if they use SDV?
Thanks in advance.
