Can I fix a TIVO adapter?

I probably know the answer to this, but I'll check anyway before spending $50 bucks
One of my TIVO adapters cannot connect to my network. It was working fine till yesterday. I tried that same adapter on my other TIVO and it doesn't work wither, so I guess it IS the adapter. Is there anything I can do to try to fix it?

What error are you getting on the TiVo?

If it detects the adapter, did you reboot the wireless access point/router? There might be something "stuck" that won't give that MAC address an IP.

what kind of router are you using for your home network? you might try logging into the router, look under DHCP leases (or DHCP settings), find the entry that matches the 00:00:00:00:00 of the adapter and delete its entry... try connecting again

If you need to buy another one, you can find them discounted at places like Amazon for around n$40.
