TiVo "wireless" adapter question

I've got 2 TiVo "wireless" adapters that are near new. I connected them when I purchased my S3 and HD the same day I purchased the machines. I "hard-wired" my TiVo's the next day and I'm curious to know if they could be used as a "wireless adapter" for a computer?

Whose drivers would I use?

I'd sure like to be able to pass these on to a friend whose finally acquired "high-speed" and a wireless modem/router is part of his "install package"!

No, they cannot be used as a general adapter.

I had searched and came to pretty much that conclusion but most information I had found was "older". I thought it not "foolish" to ask as you can't ever tell what someone has "stumbled upon" or "hacked"!
