Transfer from digital cable to basic cable

I have 2 Series 2 Tivos. One is hooked up to Digital cable, the other is just basic cable. Recently I have noticed that I am not allowed to transfer the stations that I receive from the digital cable box to the basic cable tivo. An example I have Mlb Network on one tv, & not on the other. I am unable to transfer a program from this. Same as any of the other extra channels I receive on the Digital cable box, compared to the basic channels. If the channel is on both boxes, there is no problem. I am not willing to pay Comcast an extra 10-15 dollars a month just to have these channels on both tv's. Just trying to find out if this is the way it is suppose to work, or if there is a problem. In other words it says (transferring prohibited by copywrite holder).

The files won't transfer because they are copy-protected. TiVo is legally bound to follow copy-protection laws.

What's happening is that the cable box is introducing Macrovision copy protection into the video stream. This is analog protection and you can use a line filter to remove it. I believe the device is called a video stabilizer.
