That is an interesting thought. Would the QWERTY functions work with the S3/THD? It might be a nice upgrade if it was fully functional.

No the QWERTY remote wont work with S3/THD since its bluetooth.

For the record, the QWERTY remote doesn't even work with the Premiere out of the box. It requires a dongle. So it might work with the S3/HD.

If it still uses AAA batteries then it will. Tivo should have used AA batteries instead.

wrong, it will work with the S3/HD, it was already confirmed by tivo. the premiere does not have bluetooth built in anyway, the new remote comes with a BT dongle for either model.
