Cablevision + M-Card + Channels above 714 = no sound

Anyone else experiencing, or experienced similar issue?

*** Update***

So it appears the cablevision flipped the switch in morris county for channel remapping of SD and HD feeds. Which has completely dropped the audio on almost every channel in the lineup, except for the clear channels...

Should be interesting to see how long this takes to get fixed.

I'm guessing that your problem lies with something other then the remap.

It is my understanding that the SD to HD channel remapping is a software switch on Cablevison branded boxes and has nothing to do with Tivo boxes, your Tivo is receiving the same signal it has been.
More info below.

I have a TivoHD with 2 S cards in South Bound Brook, and have not experience any problems.

tech here today said it's affecting mcards. all the frequncies have changes since there is no SD feeds anymore.

S cards are not affected, only mcards

This is not correct. The SD feeds are not going anywhere. If you have a SD cablebox from cablevision, tuning channel 02 for example, still gives you the standard def feed.

Only if you have a cablevision rented cable box that is HD (4250HD or 8300HD) will you tune the HD channel regardless of if you use the old SD feed's channel #, or the HD feed's channel # (02 and 702 for example).

I have cablevision with a S3 (two S-cards) and a TivoHD (with 1 Mcard) and both of mine have been working fine the entire time. No sound issues and I can tune the regular SD feed on the lower channel numbers, and the HD feeds in the 700s/800s as I always have been able to.

had Cablevision here (Jefferson) this afternoon for a few hours to try to fix the audio problem. He brought 3 cards and wasn't able to get any of them activated properly. I still have the same problem PLUS I no longer have any channels over 22 on one tuner. He stated that they changed the signal yesterday so I will no longer be able to get HD with my Series 3 (648) with the single stream cards. TV's that use these cards also have the same problem now. My HD Tivo in another room (652) still works because it is 'newer'. Their solution is to 'offer the customer an HD box'. I didn't get the impression that this will ever be resolved. They will be back out here on Sunday to try again...

My Tivos
S3 - Two SCards, Working Fine
S3 - Two Scards, Wokring Fine
THD - One Mcard, All Channels, No Audio

I think your tech has no idea what he is talking about with the S3. Just hold out longer until they get the issues worked out. We should be fine at the end of this.

They have finally confirmed the issues at of 1:31pm today and supposedly hope to have it fixed by 5:00pm

Another update regarding this... I have been emailing with someone high in the food chain. Last note was the following:

"Issue has been identified, resolution in progress. Will take a couple of hours to complete, you should likely see channels coming up through that period, not all at once."

I have already seen some audio coming back in blocks of channels.

you are absolutely correct! thanks for the earlier post - you gave me hope - I just got back home and I have audio again! I still need them to come out and fix my other card, but at least I know the issue is resolved.
thanks again!
