I'm gonna guess these are out-takes...

I just hope the show is doing okay. They seem like they are burning through episodes pretty fast which doesn't seem like a good sign.

That was awesome. They really took the ball and ran with it, some of those were pretty creative, and funny to see them said with a straight face.

The show was already not picked back up. Same with Scrubs. They are just burning through the episodes they have.

I wasn't aware that an official decision had been publicly disclosed. Do you have a source for that?
As recently as 4 January, Jay Harrington seemed to believe that the final decision won't be made until spring. The cast finds out in May whether the sitcom will be renewed for next year. ( Source)

Maybe they're hoping to get picked up by HBO.

that was an AWESOME link, I hope it's an easter egg on the season 2 DVD.
I've also heard multiple sources saying that the nail is not in the coffin yet, there's hope of them getting picked up for a 3rd season.

The local TV critic here just said that ABC announced they hadn't yet made a decision on Ted or Scrubs. For some reason, certain people have been posting over the last few weeks about how they are both definitely canceled, which is untrue.

Still, the fact that they're burning off the episodes during the winter break without ordering more for the rest of the season can't be a good sign...

No doubt. But bad sign does not equal done deal as Frylock claimed.

I thought the insults in the outtakes were a lot funnier than the ones that made it onto the broadcast. Too bad Ted isn't on HBO or SHO.

Yeah, although I guess it was funny enough, there's obviously a limit to how well this particular concept can be done on network television...

Cable seems like it would be a better fit for it. It seems a bit too quirky for mainstream audiences.
I enjoy it. It's not as hilarious as Arrested Development, but the irreverence is similar. It's like a 2.5 star Arrested Development.

I think it works fine for network TV. I couldn't imagine a REAL raunchy version of the show. It's really not necessary. I just think it's on the wrong night and will never get a fair shake. I'd like to see them move this to 8:30 after The Middle. I think it would work well there. Besides, with Idol coming, all these shows will be getting lousy ratings.

Loved the outtakes. Thanks for the link.
As for whether the show is canceled, it's not technically been canceled, but the ratings have been ATROCIOUS. Generally, shows need to get at least a 2.0 share in the 18-49 demographic to not be considered a complete failure, and closer to 2.5+ to be a lock for renewal. Better Off Ted has been hovering near a 1.0 this season, and this particular episode that's being referenced in the link above got a 0.8. The chances of ABC renewing this show are about 0.0001%.
Which sucks, because I love this show.

Maybe NBC can poach this show. They need all the help they can get.
I never even heard of this show until about two months ago. Now it's my favorite comedy.

Just what NBC needs, another poorly rated show I love this show too, but I'm afraid it's gonzo

On Monday night, The Bachelor got a 3.3 in its first hour and a 4.0 in its second hour. Not necessarily "gangbusters" but very solid, and unfortunately enough to keep that franchise going.

On the bright side, Ted should be pretty cheap to produce.

I watch both shows (err, the last Bachelorette, I watched after the season was over).. I'd definitely greatly prefer Better Off Ted to be renewed, but you don't have to insult people who like reality shows.

Same here. I'd never heard of this show before this season, and only started watching it because we caught a few minutes of it after recording scrubs one night (which did not make a triumphant return IMO)
