duplicate recordings

Last night my series 2 dvr recorded the same program 3 times. I have the season pass set to record first-run only. I checked the program details screen and all 3 listed exactly the same info. The program was "It's Me or the Dog". This has happened once before a couple weeks ago with a different program that I can not remember the name. Any sugestions as to what the problem could be?

My guess, most likely bad guide data.
If a season pass program has a generic description in the guide with no original air date, Tivo will err on the side of caution and record the show.

Thanks for the feedback. The program recorded had an episode title but upon further review I saw that the original air date was 1/23/10. I recall the other show that the name slips me now also had an original air date that was in the future. The problem must be because of bad guide data as you suggest.
