Transfer recordings tivo to tivo

Can recordings from one Tivo be transfered to another without transferring to pc first? I am using a wireless network.

Yes, as long as both TiVos are on the same account (thus have the same Media Access Key, or MAK) and on the same subnet of your wireless network. This is called multi-room viewing, or MRV.

You'll need to enable transfers on each box on your account on tivo.com. Also, you can't transfer copy-protected content.

I wonder why someone has not come up with MRV over the internet?

I see that you can look at your season pass on one tivo and transfer it to another tivo on the same network. Why not setup transfers between tivos in the same way? Does not use the tivo.com to actually do the recordings but uses it to simply add the transfer to the ToDo list on the receiving tivo. Seems like this would really save all of us a ton of time. Then during the night and in the back ground these transfers would be going on.
