Hi. I figured if anyone would have any answers/suggestions it would be this forum.
Here's is what I am thinking about doing. I want to build an XBMC on an old PC, this will hook up to my big screen HDTV via HMDI. This PC will be networked and running TTG or PyTivo.
I then have a second Tivo in my bedroom on a standard def TV with series 2 attached, Idea is to be able to transfer all the same content displayed through XBMC through the MRV which I don't think should be a problem.
Here's my questions, I have been using DVDfab and VideoReDO, thanks to some wonderful help here to load my DVD's, which works perfectly.
Assuming I use XBMC with HDMI I should be able to display Hi-Def on my HDTV. If I want to put blu ray movies on this, is there a different process for doing this to a Blu Ray vs standard DVD? Because I still want to be able to transfer the same hi-def movies to the series 2 in the bedroom to display at standard def. Since series 2 only works with mpeg/vob, will extracting the blu ray movie result in a VOB or MPEG file that will allow the bedroom DVR to display it just at standard def. Also how big of a file do you think this would be for a standard 2hr movie?
Thanks for the help.
