Converting TiVo files for burning to Bluray

I have TiVo's Desktop Plus and have a 29 gb file that I want to save. Given the size of the file, dual layer bluray is my only option. I have purchased Nero 9, the Nero bluray authoring plug-in and a bluray burner but Nero does not recognise Tivo files. I either need to have help in converting Tivo files to something that Nero will recognise or help in getting Nero to recognise Tivo files. I did convert a file to MPEG4 on the facility within Tivo for putting a video file onto a protable player but the quality was awfiul. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Nero 9 is suppose to do what you want. Did you update the software at their web site.

I can put that file on to a single or dual layer DVD using VideoReDo TVSuiteCost is $80 but worth it, utilizing just 1 step (after removing commercials using the same program). VideoRedo will code and then burn onto the DVD even though they only hold 4/8 GB data. It will not reduce a 16:9 video into a 4:3.

I don't know anything about Nero, but my first step in dealing with .TiVo files is tivodecode.
