One would think
One would think that my HDTivo, when it sees that I have a recurring recording set to record The Daily Show on one tuner, wouldn't simultaneously record the same show on the other tuner as a suggestion.
One would think...

I was forced to turn off suggestions due to the utter uselessness of the feature after hooking up a tuning adapter. It would only rarely suggest programs, and the few it suggested were absolutely horrid, despite heavily thumbing up/down programming to try and train it.
If it's suggesting something you like, be thankful.

One would ask who cares? My Tivo suggestions have never prevented me from recording or watching one thing I wanted.

It's not about interference with your preferred recordings. It is about the box not being that stupid.

When I deleted the scheduled recording, the suggestion also went away. only one recording appeard in teh RD folder. I restored it and both appeared again (happened twice). The third time I deleted the suggestion and the scheduled recording remained...

So are you saying that the tuning adapter had a negative effect on the quality/quantity of shows being recorded? Makes one wonder if SDV channels are being excluded from recording suggestions.

I would turn it off, but mine only records about 1 a month or so with the TA.
