Leno's 10pm debut

Hmmm...

So, "Stuttering John" is gone from the mix? (Sure didn't sound like his voice.)

Interesting. Conan goes and brings BACK his former sidekick when he gets the 11:30 show, but Jay drops John?

Not "posh" enough for Prime Time?

They demoted him when they changed over.

He is not going to be on air at all. They have like ten different other people being correspondents but not him.

From listening to Stern, it sounds like Jay may be trying to get rid of him and will be looking for excuses..

He was stupid as an announcer, why they ever decided to do that who knows. Apparently after a while they started pre-taping all his announcing anyways.

Why would you hire a guy who is famous for being a mumbling idiot and then want them to only be a straight announcer. It makes zero sense.

All that high fiveing at the beginning seemed forced , weird, and went on way too long.

I'm watching on a ten minute delay, so excuse me if it gets better, but the car wash singer just made the show crash and burn for me. Out of all the stunts Jay's pulled, this has got to be the worst. It's not even funny, and is running much too long.

I may shut it off as soon as HEADLINES is over.

I should've put a smiley on my post as i was being facetious.

I listen to Stern as well. And I agree that it's just a move to eventually phase him out. But Leno doesn't want Stern to have the last laugh...so to speak.

OMG...this show is painfully unfunny.

Of course Kenye or whatever his name is is a stammering idiot who probably does feel like sh*t because he didn't think so many folks hate him because of what he thought was a "good idea".

Oh and the 3 "rappers" help reinforced why I hate rap....ugh...horrible.

No plans to watch anymore of this lame attempt at entertainment....sorry Jay, but you aren't funny.

They had a Tonight Show that worked. Conan essentially moved his existing show back to 11:30.

They should have done the same thing with Jay. Jay's Tonight Show worked.

This isn't the same show. They should have changed the timeslot and left everything else alone.

I thought it was pretty good. Not that I will ever watch it live again, but it's getting recorded.

And Jay is funny.

Garbage. Not even a little bit funny. Disgrace and embarrassment for Jay and for NBC.

Sweet.

Pretty much the same show he had before which is better than anything Conan could ever hope to pull off.

Agreed.

They hyped the hell out of something that had no legs.
So what are they going to jam into all those time slots?

I liked it just as well as his other show. It really didn't seem much different. I'm not sure why, but I liked it better when he sat behind the desk to interview guests. But it's really pretty much the same show.

If you didn't like him before, this won't change your mind. If you did like him, there aren't any real changes that would cause you to not like it now.

The Jay Leno Show is not the same show as Jay's Tonight Show.

We all saw it tonight and it's a pale imitation.

I hope he re-finds his legs.

I thought tonight was weak compared to his Tonight Show and I wasn't of fan of him there either. I've watched Tonight Show more often, now that Conan hosts, than I did since Johnny left.

I thought Kanye was gonna cry after Jay asked him what his mom would have thought about his behavior. I think he was really fighting back tears.

I like Conan, but yeah, this was pretty much the same show as before, except a little "daytime-ified" in the set and the segments re-arranged.

Needless to say, I liked it. But yikes, that Kanye interview was painful.

I agree that the show was essentially the Tonight Show without a desk.
And then there was the desk for the Headlines!

Same tired bits. I was expecting Leno to retread that effeminate guy who lost weight, and Fred Willard and Gilbert Gottfried, but there's still 4 more hours this week. UGH!

What a shame that they couldn't put together something original and funny for at least the first show after three months off and all of that hype.

Conan was better when there was a masturbating bear on national TV at 1:00am. He's mellowed out in LA.

It's like coming home when you've been gone for to long.

I'm so happy Jays back and can't wait for more episodes.

+ 1000.
That "song" was painfully awful. Rap is ridiculously bad. Is that seriously supposed to be entertainment? What was Leno trying to prove by having the 3 of them on? They were horrendous. I know....I am a racist. You can't criticize Rap for the cr*p that it is because that is criticism born out of hatred......yeah, right.
I bet Leno was backstage vomiting during the number.

If he was fighting back tears, he should have let them go. That is the only way he could have possibly redeemed himself (if even possible).
He is a pig who will be allowed to go about his business of spewing hatred, degrading women and making zillions of dollars.
Our country is totally f****d up. If you did not think so, all you had to do is watch that show.
Shame on you Jay. What would your mother think?

He did the audience high fives like that on the previous show, and it always seemed forced and often too long there, too. Nothing new there, imo.

The whole show seemed to be pretty much the same to me. Just no more desk.
