Now Playing not showing up on MyTiVO
I am on a vacation, and checked MyTiVO to see what had been recorded. Today is Monday, and the Now Playing list is showing that nothing has been recorded since Friday. All the older stuff is there, but nothing since Friday night. Is there a way to see if the TiVO is communicating, is this thing foolproof, and, most importantly, should I be concerned?

Unfortunately, there are still some bugs in the online reporting of the recorded list and scheduled recordings. I find that when I am away from home, and not using the TiVo, the site will stop updating. That's something TiVo needs to fix.
When I get home and launch TiVo Search, the web page is updated within a few minutes.

That's encouraging...this is the first time I've been away that I actually thought of checking, just for the hell of it. I was (and still am, kinda) afraid that when I got home, all the things I'd set were not recorded.

The Now Playing List and To Do lists on the web site update when the TiVo box makes a VCN connection. Normally it does so automatically periodically throughout the day. It will also do so manually if you access TiVo Search or enable or disable parental controls.
Sometimes, the VCN connection will fail for whatever reason (Internet connection down, server down, temporary glitch, etc). What's suppose to happen in this case is that the TiVo box is supposed to simply ignore the failure and try again later. Every now and then, for reasons not really understood, the TiVo box won't reschedule the VCN connection. As such VCN connections simply stop working until the box is restarted.
You can check if this is the case, by going into the System Info screen and looking at the Next scheduled VCN connection date/time. If it is earlier than the the current date/time, then you'll need to do a restart to get things working again. It can be a few minutes earlier since sometimes the TiVo box doesn't connect immediately at the listed time, but if it hours or days off, only a restart will fix it.

Update:
I am back at home, and everything recorded as it was supposed.
I checked the VCN connection date/time, and the last one was scheduled for Aug. 22 (last Saturday, and completed earlier that day). There are none scheduled for after that. How do I get it to update (not that it matters, now that I am back..)?

I restarted the box, and the VCN connection is now working.
However, after about a couple of hours, the Now Playing list on the TiVO stopped showing. The To Do list took a long time to generate, and when I went back to the Now Playing list, only the Recently Deleted showed. I restarted the box again, and it took an extra long time to "acquire channel list." It now appears to be OK, but...is this a fluke, or a sign of doom? I had not problems with anything til I resarted to get the VCN connection back working.

It could be a fluke, but I'd keep an eye on it. Issues with displaying the NPL tend to be related to hard drive issues, particularly if you have an external drive attached.

Strange as mine are OK, except I did a copy of a show from 1 THD to another. The show IS on both THD's now (and has been for weeks) but online it is not listed on the THD I sent it to. So, is a show that was taken from another THD supposed to show up online?

Yup, I've got an external drive (My Expander, or whatever they call it...).
Thanks for the info.
