Netflix- constantly retrieving

My Netflix was working fine for months. Now all of a sudden, it stops repeatedly to "retrieve." This happens about every ten minutes. It worked flawlessly prior. I have a wireless connection.

Any ideas where I should be looking to fix this problem?

My bet is that you are experiencing interference on your wireless connection. Perhaps one of your neighbors recently installed a wireless router. You might try changing your wireless channel (in your router settings) from its current setting to channel 1, 6, or 11. There are lots of things in the 2.4 GHz band including cordless telephones and microwave ovens.

Thanks. I only see channel 6 as an available option on my Netgear router. My signal strength is excellent on my Tivo. It seems to be constantly needing to buffer.

Is there a way to add channel options to the router, or any other suggestions as to what may be causing the problem. Does anyone else have this issue?

netlfix constant retrieving msg

My Tivo HD is showing the retrieving message dozen of times during every movie viewing. I have a wired ethernet connection (cat6) and have changed the wire to no effect.

My ps3 with a wireless connection against same router, never shows the retrieving msg!!

Any ideas?

Me too. Ran great for over a year. Hardwired. When I use my Google TV or andriod, it does not happen

Me too... Either Netflix got a lot of new subscribers or they're saving money by reducing the bandwidth of their circuits...
