CC install, how long for guide data?

Had cablecards installed yesterday in my S3. Tivo has the new HD channels mapped (about 20 in the basic hd pkg) and the new channels are in the 500's. I have manually connected several times, but the guide data for the new channels is not there. It shows "To Be Announced" in the guide and "No Information Available" for the info. All my previously existing analog stations have the guide data. It's been 22 hours, how long should this take?

I'm loving the new hd channels, but want to set my sp's and I can't do that until I get the guide data.

You should have info on the current shows right away. It can take a couple of hours to get the rest of the data for the day and a day or two to get the full two weeks of guide data.

You might want to re-run Guided Setup under Messages & Settings -> Restart or Reset TiVo.

The TiVo asked that when you installed the CableCards. You or your installer may have opted to do that later; in that case, you wouldn't see program information on the new channels until you re-ran Guided Setup and selected digital cable service.

I ran the guided setup and now have titles and descriptions for all the cable hd and music channels that I don't have on my account (which is Basic HD). My subscribed Basic HD channels in the 500's now say on the info bar "Program titles and descriptions will be available soon" and the guide still says "To be Announced."

Not sure why I have guide and info data for all the channels I do not subscribe (and don't receive) while my newly subscribed hd channels don't have the data even though I receive the channels.

Guess I'll have to go in and manually remove the 200 or so unsubscribed channels from the channel list and hope the guide data comes through for my new channels.

Guided setup only downloads 24-48 hours worth of program information. The rest is downloaded during the next service connection, which you can force under Settings -> Phone & Network. Note all the guide data won't be visible immediately; the TiVo has to create and index the databases with this information before it will show up in the guide.

Additionally, the TiVo knows (through Tribune Media's information) what channels are available to your zip code, but has no way to know to which channels your tier and subscription levels entitle you. To remove any channels to which you dio not subscribe (as wella s set "favorite" channels if you so schoose), you will need to go under the Settings menu and select the channels you do and don't receive. Whenever your CATV provider adds a new channel to their lineup, the channel will be added automatically to the list. If you do not receive it (or just are uninterested in watching it), you will have to go into the Settings menu and deselect the new channel.

When I had cable cards, I found that using the "favorites" function within the program guide layout was a lot better for me. I'd rather only see the 12 channels that I use than have to scroll through a hundred that I don't use. By marking those 12 channels as favorites, I could always change the program guide layout to "all channels received" and still see the rest of them. This is good because if you delete them in your channel list, they don't show up anywhere. This way I had what I wanted for convenience and in the odd occassion that I wanted to see what else was playing, I could do so.

I obviously have a channel guide issue. I receive guide data on all of USCable's digital channels except for the HD Basic Cable channels in the 500's. I get all the digital guide data for channels in the 200's, 300's, and 900's (music) even though I am not subscribed to those channels, but not the digital channels I receive in the 500's. Yes, I know how to edit the channel list to remove those channels I don't receive and mark favorites, etc.

Mine was the first tivo installed with cable cards in the field for US Cable in Colorado. I have turned in a channel guide report and hope to get this resolved in a few days. I gave Tivo support a link to USCable's Arvada channel lineup so they can get the proper channels supported with guide data.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
