True blood -"Fire in the Hole" - 7/6/14

Nooooo!

How come the hep-v vamps move like lightening... And Eric, who is a thousand years old, can hardly get out of a chair?

RIP Mrs. Fortenberry. Mostly.

Because several years ago they abandoned the storylines from the books and have gone off some drug-induced story board created by the usual crappy network television writing teams who couldn't possibly care less to worry about any consistency in character development or storylines.

My wife was really upset that they killed off Alcide

Also, I could hardly believe Tara was really dead, but apparently so as Pam felt her go. They didn't even show it! Very bizarre. For a minute I thought maybe we'll find out her mother actually killed her.

I didn't figure out who the guru's lover was until the end of the show! Apparently changing her hair color is as good as putting glasses on Clark Kent for me ... D'Oh!

Wasn't she the wife of the minister turned vampire? If not, who? And why is the authority after her?

Yes. She was the one who was behind the vampire concentration camps. And IIRC, she also had something to do with the tainted Tru Blood.

More like BIH. I actually cheered when Violet took care of her.

Hopefully, when the usurper to the mayoral throne and his race-baiting sidekick gets theirs, it won't be nearly as quick.

nitpick, it's not The Authority that's after her; The Authority is dead and gone. The people after her are humans from the Japanese corporation that originally had partnered with The Authority back in the day to manufacture TruBlood and coordinate the vamps coming out of the coffin/closet.

This show would be better if they killed off Sookie.

Actually I guessed who was going to be there even before she showed up. It had to be someone we know from previous episodes and Sarah was the only character who might plausibly be in California doing yoga in the middle of the day.

Yes, I meant I knew that scene was going to be about her even before they showed her face.

So are these japanese corporate folks vamp'rs or what? Why would Eric worry about killing them at lightning speed -- at least the ones holding his two womenfolk?

Definitely not vamps, the gold tooth leader aged between the scenes he was in.

Why were there 2 random girls in the woods at night?!?

I always think that too. Go into your house. The vampires can't come in.

Of course, then I think the vamps should be able to get people out fairly easily. Set the house on fire or something.

I would definitely be hiding out in my house every single night.

This show is in Dexter territory for me. It's gotten really bad, but I'm sticking it out until the bitter end. I don't even care anymore. I just want closure.

Pretty much agree. I am pretty much just watching at this point to see how they wrap it all up. I don't expect to be impressed.

It's a short season too. Only 6 episodes total, so we don't have long to wait for the wrap up.

I was so glad to see Mama Fortenberry bite it. Broke my heart when Alcide got shot.

I had no idea it was only 6 episodes.

In a way, it's good news. I didn't want too many episodes with Sookie lamenting the loss of Alcide.

What is the purpose of the Lafayette story?

the final season is 10 eps total. imdb shows 10 place holders (6 with show info), and wikipedia references this article:
Quote:
The seventh and final season of the HBO supernatural drama series True Blood premiered on June 22, 2014 and will contain ten episodes.

Even with 10 episodes, I find myself scratching my head at why they spend inordinate amounts of time on characters I don't care about -- e.g. Lettie Mae's husband. Cool speech, bro.

and btw....what Vamp wouldn't "smell" Compton up in the tree....LOL

I was really hoping the writers would have some pride and write a really good final season but this is just BAD.

I quit watching the show after the first episode of season 6. When I learned season 7 was the last, I figured I could suffer through the rest of the show just to see how it ends.

no harm, just wanted to clear up the confusion.

since descriptions and titles are only available for 6 eps, that might have caused the mix-up. tv guide only shows 6 eps, because they don't include placeholders for the last 4 eps without info (like imdb and others).

Why was Jason's vampire woman not at all interested in the fairy girl when she was brought over to stay at their place? She didn't smell delicious there?
