Program Info Loss after Transfer

This is probably a well-known issue, but I'm more curious about the reasons behind the phenomenon than fixing anything (altho it would be nice):

When programs are transferred to other TiVos, they seem to lose the star rating for movies, MPAA ratings for films, some stars, all guest stars/directors/producers data, and original airdate data. (Also quality of recording for analog transmissions.)

This seems like an extraordinarily minute piece of info to have to send; does anyone know why it's stripped during the transfer process?

Because the software isn't designed that way?

It bugs me too.. I see far more serious problems, like recordings from my S3 to TivoHD virtually always show up as either 1 minute or 3 minutes long even when the full show has transferred.. That is, that's what shows up when I do a save to VCR after transferring it.

The OAD is the second most important bit of info to me. Though IIRC, nowadays they seem to sort properly after transfer.. (Though maybe that's only if you have recordings the same year.. Yes, for some shows, I have more than a full year of shows..)
