Damages - 2/11/09 through 3/4/09 SPOILERS
Just wanted to post this since I just caught up on the episodes and didn't see anything since the 2/4 episode.
I must admit I'm beginning to enjoy this show more than Nip/Tuck now. Lots of interesting twists and turns and they've still managed to keep the back-and-forth "X weeks before/later" thing interesting after a year.
What do you guys think?

I'm glad they aren't jumping back and forth between the present and future as much as they did last season. I'll keep watching, but this isn't on my "must watch" list.

HI:
I love this show and it is definitely on my must watch list....the acting is great, the plot interesting, complicated and engaging...Overall, one of the best shows on TV, IMHO.

I didn't enjoy the first few episodes as much as the first season, but lately it's really sinking its hooks into me.
So what's up with the FBI? Looks like it's a real investigation as far as the agents are concerned, but off-the-books as far as the boss-man is concerned. I wonder who's pulling his strings?

Same here. First few episodes weren't doing much for me; wasn't really enjoying the constant moroseness of the William Hurt character. Now liking it a lot, maybe because old characters have been brought back into the limelight? - Frobisher, Katie, Uncle Pete, etc.
Still not as good as last season (which I found completely captivating), but still enjoying it.

I watched about seven episodes over three days. This show has more twists and turns than a stripper.

I always have a hard time remembering if we're "3 weeks ago" or "2 weeks from now" or "now".

I've been thinking they've been jumping back and forth *more* often than last season. Or, at least, they're mixing up the timeline of jumps more... 3 months, then 6 months, then 5 weeks, where as last year, the flashbacks were more chronological.
I was confused with an episode a couple weeks ago that did a 5 month flashback of a couple minutes, immediately followed by short 15 second scene in present time, then yet another flashback titled "6 weeks later". I was confused for a moment... 6 weeks after the 5 month flash back or 6 weeks after present time? (the latter.)

The "xx later" is just shifting because we're getting closer and closer to the "present." I think all the "present" scenes take place at roughly the same time.
So I don't think the timeline is mixing up at all.

I agree with the spoilers. Remember, the hand print...

The black guy from UNR said that the deputy director and the supervisor is on deal (to get Patty). Hence, why he keeps the file in his desk draw.
I think this season is going to wrap up nicely.
I like how Patty figured out, it was Ellen with the pics.

Geez, there's soo many loose ends for them to wrap up.
How can they possibly wrap it up in one episodes without disappointing people or rushing to conclusions?
Tom being fired
Ellen shooting someone
Patty + her husband
Patty's son
Arthur Frobisher
The lawsuit
All of the UNR guys
Ellen's investigation
The guys out to get Ellen
the FBI investigation
the FBI agents
that govt guy whose manipulating everyone.
In ONE hour?

Am I the only one who thought Patty's son was really dating the funky girl at the art gallery - the one with the pink hair and piercings? I thought he brought the 40 year old to dinner just to F with his parents. Then a week later, he's back in the gallery having a romantic(ish) conversation with the 40 year old. Was there something that made me think the young, funky girl was his real g/f or am I just off base?

Echobravo, no, I thought the same thing. Hell, I thought she had taken off the piercings and hair for the dinner until they went back and she was their normal again.

Uh, no, we can't!
This thread is only for through the 3/4 episode.

Yup, I have to admit I like this show too. I've got 4 episodes (3/4, 11, 18, 25) waiting for me to watch, so I'm skipping most of this thread as I'm assuming there are some spoilers for the 3/4 ep that I haven't watched yet.

Maybe we should just do a 1 month at a time thing for these cable shows that don't get posted on frequently.

Or just have open threads, with spoilers for all aired episodes.

If we can install a 2 page limit so they don't get as long as the lost threads, I'd be all for it.
